POSTPARTUM SERVICES
My aim is to provide you and your family with care, information and most importantly, support after birth. I suggest an initial video call to help me tailor my packages to fit your needs. Get in touch to find out more.
OVERNIGHT POSTPARTUM SUPPORT
As a postpartum doula, my aim is to give you (and your family) the full care and attention you deserve.
My services include:

Unbiased emotional support to help you process your feelings after birth, and to always advocate + respect your choices in parenting your child

All aspects of newborn care and sibling adjustment (feeding, bathing, diapering, bottle preparation and sterilization, etc)

Chest-feeding support and tips (wherever applicable)

Basic meal preparation, light household cleaning (if needed - laundry, washing dishes, sweeping floor, etc)

Other additional support you might need, so that you and your partner can rest through the night and wake up energized the following day to spend quality time with the baby!
My overnight shifts are usually between 10pm-6am the following day, and my rate is $40/hr (+13% HST)
BENGKUNG BELLY-BINDING
Bengkung is a Malay traditional art of postpartum belly-binding. It is a process where the belly is tightly bound by a long piece of cloth in a criss-cross manner, and is a great way to honour your postpartum body as it heals. Unlike postpartum belly binders found on Amazon or Walmart, the bengkung allows you to customize the tightness, to listen to your body if/when it aches, provides ample support for your lower back and most importantly, is comfortable when worn for long periods of time. Beyond the first 40 days of postpartum, the healing effects of the bengkung can still be its user. It is never too late to start wearing the bengkung!
Clients are encouraged to wear the bengkung for 8-12 hours daily, for at least the first 40 postpartum days. A warming herbal paste (or organic essential oils) can also be massaged onto the belly prior to putting on the bengkung to increase muscle tone, promote blood flow and to release any retained water that can occur after childbirth. My in-person bengkung belly-binding service is $120 (+13% HST), and it includes your own 100% organic cotton bengkung. The duration of the session is approximately 1 hour, where I will teach you different ways of tying the bengkung, so that you can continue the practice and effectively heal in the comfort of your home.
Bengkungs can also be purchased on its own for $70. In-person pick up location is at Davenport Village, and shipping via Canada Post is also available. Please feel free to reach out!
